Activities: We offer and encourage a wide variety of activities both inside and outside of the home, weather and
physical capabilities considered. We try to get residents involved in to as many of these activities as possible to keep
their bodies limber and minds sharp. You are never too old to laugh, smile and / or enjoy that feeling of having fun.
We have regularly scheduled activities usually every night of the week, and these scheduled activities are posted on our
event calendar for family members to see what their loved ones may be doing that night. Some of these activities include:
Monday night snack bingo, Tuesday residents choice game night, Wednesday night nail care, Thursday night gold $
bingo and Friday movie and popcorn night. There are puzzles, books and videos always available to our residents. We
have a wide variety of outdoor games they can enjoy and lots of outdoor space to enjoy them on, as well as a wide variety
of indoor games available anytime for their enjoyment. Daily coffee break at 10:00AM and 2:00PM "walk abouts", snacks,
visits, a community jig saw puzzle in the family room, weekly Bible Study and monthly church services. Seasonal "tea"
with family and friends welcome to join.
In the summertime residents enjoy ice tea, lemonade and ice cream out on the patios. Residents enjoy the many bird
houses / feeders, resident raised vegetable garden and their flower bed. We have outdoor family picnics with resident
families (kids and pets included) and outdoor games for a day of fun. We have monthly pizza parties, pleasure rides and
annual visits to the fire department's open house and Canton's Apple n' Cheese festival.
We celebrate resident birthdays with residents and staff (family and friends are welcome). Our holiday activities include
Valentine's Day (with visits by the Red Hatters including valentines, treats and songs), cook outs on Memorial Day, July
4th and Labor Day, Christmas there's Christmas caroling (community and church organizations), the residents help
decorate the Christmas tree and Christmas cookies for our Christmas party for resident family and friends. We have a
Christmas Eve party for the residents and staff, and a New Year's Eve party at 11:30PM for residents and staff.
Family and friends are always welcome to stop by to visit, and join in on the activities.
